Gilat Telecom, a global provider of satellite services, has revealed plans to significantly expand the capacity and coverage of a Tier-1 cellular network across Africa by utilising NovelSat’s cutting-edge satellite modem technology, SetellitePro Me reported.
Gilat Telecom plans to leverage NovelSat’s high-capacity SCPC modems to expand satellite coverage to new regions while enhancing overall network capacity. This initiative seeks to improve high-speed connectivity in existing and newly served areas across the continent, ensuring faster and more reliable broadband services.
NovelSat’s modem technology, equipped with the NS4 bandwidth-efficient waveform and DUET bandwidth reuse technology, is engineered to provide superior transmission speeds, optimal spectral efficiency, and high resilience.
