
Indonesian telecommunications company Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has introduced an AI-powered digital solution designed for enterprises in the retail sector, Developing Telecoms reported.
According to the company, this solution aims to help retailers enhance business revenues and improve operational efficiency within their stores.
Indosat says that its NEXTretail solution portfolio harnesses the power of AI and intelligent analytics to offer retailers enhanced insights into customer needs, real-time personalization, more focused customer loyalty programs, and an overall improved shopping experience.
The NEXTretail offering includes ‘Smart Digital Ads,’ enabling retailers to craft personalized and targeted digital ad campaigns based on customer preferences and behavior. Indosat asserts that these ads can boost customer engagement by 30%, increase conversion rates by 25%, and enhance ad ROI by 20%.
The NEXTretail portfolio also features Indosat’s AI-based Chatbot, which aims to reduce response times and lower customer service operational expenses. Additionally, the ‘Smart Cashier’ system is designed to accelerate the payment process by up to 40% and reduce manual errors by 30%.
The solution also incorporates a CCTV surveillance system that employs AI for anomaly detection and the prevention of theft and fraud. Indosat claims this system can ‘reduce theft and fraud incidents by up to 50%, enhance early detection of potential threats by 30%, and lower security-related costs by 20%.’
Muhammad Buldansyah, director and chief business officer at Indosat, stated that the retail sector is currently experiencing significant shifts due to rapid digital transformation. He added that NEXTretail will equip retailers with data-driven insights to help them navigate this changing landscape.
