Meta has unveiled the Meta Gaming Accelerator, a new incubator programme designed to empower small and medium-sized gaming developers and studios across India, Meta stated in a press release.

Announced at the Meta Marketing Summit – Gaming Edition, the initiative aims to supercharge India’s fast-growing gaming sector by providing access to cutting-edge tools, expert mentorship, and strategic venture capital support.

In partnership with Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Elevation Capital, the three-month accelerator will support 20-30 emerging developers through a structured curriculum focused on monetisation, user acquisition, cross-border scaling, and AI-driven game development.

‘India’s gaming community is a hotbed of creativity and innovation,’ said Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Head of Meta India. ‘But to unlock its full potential, we need to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.’

Participants will benefit from expert-led workshops on Meta Ads, Audience Network integration, and AI tools like Llama, as well as receive business and funding mentorship. The programme will culminate in a Demo Day, where developers pitch to investors and Meta leadership, with top studios gaining platform-level exposure and potential funding.

Industry partners praised the initiative as a vital step in India’s gaming evolution. Anuj Tandon, Partner at Bitkraft Ventures, noted: ‘There is a big opportunity for the ecosystem to come together’.

‘This directly addresses scaling challenges faced by indie studios,’ added Vamshi Reddy, Partner at Kalaari Capital. Salone Sehgal, Founder and Managing Partner at Lumikai Fund, called the partnership ‘strategic,’ noting its value in guiding portfolio companies on user growth.

With the launch of Meta Gaming Accelerator, Meta reaffirms its commitment to India’s digital economy and positions gaming as a key pillar of the country’s tech-driven future.

In 2025, India’s gaming industry is experiencing robust growth and is poised to become a global powerhouse in digital entertainment. Official reports project the Indian video gaming market to surpass USD 1 billion in 2025, with expectations to reach USD 1.4 billion by 2028, growing at an annual rate of around 11%.
