NEXT Debuts in India with Myntra

British fashion retailer NEXT has officially launched its first exclusive brand outlet in India, located in Pune, through a strategic partnership with Myntra Jabong India Private Limited (MJIPL), the B2B arm of Myntra, The Times of India reported.

MJIPL holds the licensed rights to distribute NEXT’s products and to extend franchise rights for store operations, marking a significant step in scaling the brand’s omni-channel presence across the country.

India is emerging as a priority market for NEXT, thanks to its youthful demographic, rising fashion consciousness, and robust retail infrastructure. Since its debut on the Myntra platform in 2023, NEXT has seen consistent growth and strong consumer interest.

Beyond standalone brand outlets, NEXT is also set to grow via shop-in-shop formats in leading multi-brand retailers like Shoppers Stop. Over the next five to six years, the brand plans to establish more than 50 points of sale, combining exclusive stores and in-store formats across India.

This move comes during a festive season surge, as Myntra continues to broaden its global portfolio. Earlier this month, Bershka was introduced to the platform, and MJIPL also unveiled ‘Souragya,’ a premium ethnic wear brand in collaboration with cricket icon Sourav Ganguly. NEXT’s expansion underscores the increasing influence of global fashion players in India’s dynamic retail landscape.

Founded in 1982, NEXT operates over 460 stores in the UK and 265 international franchise outlets. It also boasts a strong global e-commerce presence, serving customers in 80 countries. Its expansion into India aligns with the company’s global strategy to tap into fast-growing markets with rising demand for international fashion.
