ODATA, a leader in Latin American data center infrastructure, has secured US $1.02 billion in green financing, marking the largest sustainable financing deal for data centers in the region, the company stated in a press release.

This brings the Company’s total financing to US $2.25 billion, reinforcing its financial position to support the growing demand for cloud and AI infrastructure while maintaining a focus on sustainability.

The green financing will be used to support data center projects across Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable construction practices. This investment reflects ODATA’s commitment to contributing to the sustainable development of digital infrastructure in Latin America.

‘This financing represents the largest issuance of sustainable data center financing in Latin America,’ said Rafael Bomeny, CFO of ODATA. ‘It strengthens our financial foundation and positions us to expand digital infrastructure while adhering to high sustainability standards, supporting our customers’ growth across the region.’

The financing was provided by a syndicate of financial institutions, including Apterra, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Deutsche Bank, MUFG Bank, Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking, Nomura, Societe Generale, and SMBC. The funds will be used to support data center projects that meet high-performance standards for cloud computing and AI infrastructure.

ODATA is the first hyperscale data center in Latin America to produce 100% renewable energy in Brazil. The Company also introduced Delta Cube (Delta³), a cooling technology designed to support high-density power loads, further advancing the region’s digital infrastructure.

Founded in 2015 by Patria Investments and acquired by Aligned Data Centers in 2023, ODATA operates across key Latin American markets and continues to expand its presence in the region.
