Odoo has launched Shopee Connector – an API that enables businesses to sync and manage Shopee orders directly within Odoo – across Asia, streamlining e-commerce operations for 6 million users in the APAC region, ERP Today reported.
Shopee commands 48% of South-east Asia’s e-commerce market, making the integration offered by Shopee Connector a major opportunity for businesses. Odoo’s centralised platform enables Shopee sellers to manage multiple stores across regions from a single interface, simplifying data management.
Shopee Connector enables seamless inventory management by instantly capturing orders and regularly updating stock levels. This real-time synchronisation enhances operational efficiency, ensuring that businesses can maintain accurate order tracking across platforms.
Retailers can simplify order fulfilment with one-click access to Shopee shipping labels and tracking. The integration also supports fulfilment by merchant (FBM), enabling businesses to manage Shopee shipments alongside other sales channels seamlessly.
Shopee Connector equips retailers with advanced reporting tools to track sales performance, refine inventory and pricing strategies, and make data-driven marketing decisions.
‘At Odoo, our mission remains to provide truly user-friendly and affordable tools to help our customers scale their businesses. I am sure this will greatly advance our customers in Asia, [enabling them] to expand their scope and lead in retail and their respective industries’, said Matts Fievez, director of Odoo APAC.
Odoo’s Shopee Connector simplifies e-commerce management by integrating Shopee orders and inventory within Odoo’s ERP platform. By reducing manual data entry and streamlining workflows, it helps businesses save time and improve efficiency. Designed for sellers, inventory managers, and strategists, the tool facilitates operations, supports scalability, and provides real-time insights to navigate the competitive APAC market.
The launch of Shopee Connector aims to capitalise on South-east Asia’s booming e-commerce market, which is projected to grow to $234 billion by 2025 (Google’s e-Conomy SEA report). With Shopee holding a nearly 50% market share, the integration offered by Shopee Connector gives businesses a competitive edge. Odoo’s move strengthens its position against ERP giants such as SAP and Oracle NetSuite by offering a cost-effective omnichannel solution.
