Syntys, a leading digital infrastructure provider across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), announced in a press release that it would play a pivotal role in enabling Ooredoo’s new sovereign AI cloud services in Qatar. The partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to delivering advanced technology solutions that align with national goals, including Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and National AI Strategy.

The new AI services, powered by cutting-edge NVIDIA Hopper GPUs, will operate entirely within Qatar’s borders in secure, high-performance data centres designed and operated by Syntys. These GPU-ready facilities are engineered for high-density, high-performance computing, featuring advanced cooling systems, scalable rack configurations, and robust fault-tolerant designs to guarantee uninterrupted performance for demanding AI workloads.

‘Our mission at Syntys is to provide the high-performance environment that cloud services need to thrive,’ said Sunita Bottse, CEO of Syntys. ‘With resilient, mission-critical infrastructure and scalable capacity, we empower AI clusters to drive sovereign digital platforms and accelerate national and regional innovation.’

The project required a transformation of existing infrastructure, using a modular design approach to meet the unique demands of GPU-accelerated workloads. Syntys worked closely with Ooredoo throughout the process, from carrying out initial technical assessments to ensuring operational readiness. The collaboration prioritised rapid deployment, high-density rack integration, and stringent security standards, all essential for supporting state-of-the-art AI applications.

By facilitating in-country advanced AI cloud services, Syntys is enabling government entities, developers, and critical sectors to innovate securely while meeting strict local data residency and privacy requirements. This infrastructure also sets the stage for emerging technologies such as AI-driven digital twins and advanced analytics, which are key to boosting Qatar’s future competitiveness.

With NVIDIA’s GPUs now locally hosted, Qatar is positioned to cultivate a thriving AI ecosystem that ensures faster time to market, a high level of availability, and infrastructure resilience tailored to evolving digital demands.

Syntys’s carrier-neutral, GPU-ready data centres provide the physical backbone for digital sovereignty, supporting hyperscalers, digital-native enterprises, and sovereign initiatives alike.

Syntys designs, builds, and operates state-of-the-art data centres across the MENA region. Serving hyperscalers, wholesale colocation providers, and AI infrastructure deployments, Syntys is dedicated to enabling seamless digital growth and innovation throughout the region.
