Zoomcar Holdings, India’s largest peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace, has into a strategic partnership with auto-tech leader CARS24 to enhance quality and safety standards for self-drive rentals through rigorous inspections and advanced tracking technology, Zoomcar stated in a press release.
As part of the collaboration, CARS24 will perform detailed pre-delivery inspections on vehicles newly listed on Zoomcar’s platform, checking key systems like brakes, engine health, lighting, tyres, and overall roadworthiness. Vehicles that pass these checks will be marked ‘verified’, signalling higher quality and reliability for customers.
The partnership also includes installing GPS tracking devices in host vehicles. This technology will enable real-time monitoring, helping prevent unauthorised use and promoting safer driving habits among users.
The pilot project will initially launch in Delhi, with plans to expand based on the results. The initiative comes as demand for self-drive rentals continues to rise in India, driven by consumers seeking flexible and dependable transportation options.

This move aligns with Zoomcar’s broader focus on improving asset quality and customer satisfaction across its marketplace, which already includes over 25,000 vehicles in more than 90 cities across India.
