China’s Yesil Technology Company will partner with Kazakh Invest to establish industrial unmanned drone manufacturing in Kazakhstan, The Astana Times reported.

The project entails constructing a 50,000-square-metre industrial and research complex in the Almaty Region. The facility will feature a battery production workshop, an advanced technology research centre, a full-cycle machine storage unit, an aviation testing station, and other facilities.

With a $12 million investment, the project will supply products to both the domestic market and Central Asia, creating 500 jobs and driving industrial innovation while supporting Kazakhstan’s economic diversification.

‘Yesil Technology actively attracts outstanding scientists and researchers from around the world, focusing on solving key problems such as the limitation of unmanned aerial vehicles’ flight range, the accuracy of intelligent obstacle avoidance, and the precision and stability of navigation,’ said Yongning Hui, head of Yesil Technology.

He further pointed out that Yesil’s products are already capable of operating reliably in the most demanding conditions, executing tasks with precision and delivering dependable aviation services to users.

According to the World Federation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, the global low-altitude economy was valued at $318.6 billion in 2024, with forecasts suggesting it will surpass $8.8 trillion by 2050.

‘Using various types of low-altitude aircraft, it is effectively applied in many sectors, opening new avenues for economic development,’ noted Yerzhan Yelekeyev, Chairman of the Kazakh Invest Management Board.

‘From agriculture and forest protection to logistics, from geodesy to emergency rescue operations, the range of applications for the low-altitude economy is constantly expanding, and its potential is unlimited,’ he added.

Founded in March 2024, Yesil Technology, a subsidiary of Shaanxi Kaizhuo Electronic Technology Co., specialises in smart drone solutions for low-altitude industries, focusing on UAV communication links and device production. Its technologies support agriculture, environmental protection, facility security, emergency rescue, and UAV countermeasures.
